Refundable Bond: Shine takes a $400 Bond which is refundable when 2 weeks’ withdrawal notice is provided to the centre in writing.

Early Works Annual Software Fee: $20 or part thereof per child per year.

CHILD CARE SUBSIDY: The Package includes a new Child Care Subsidy, which replaces the current Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate. The Child Care Subsidy will be paid directly to services.

Three things will determine a family’s level of Child Care Subsidy: • A family’s annual adjusted taxable income will determine the percentage of subsidy they are eligible for • An activity test will determine how many hours of subsidised care families can access, up to a maximum of 100 per fortnight, and • The type of child care service will determine the hourly rate cap. Some basic requirements must be satisfied for an individual to be eligible to receive Child Care Subsidy for a child. These include: • the age of the child (must be 13 or under and not attending secondary school) • the child meeting immunisation requirements

USING MyGov • Step 1. Sign in to your myGov account. If you don’t have one, you will need to create a myGov account. • Step 2. Link myGov to Centrelink. You can do this under Services. • Step 3. Select Centrelink and complete the Child Care Subsidy Assessment.

Who can get it: To get Child Care Subsidy you need to meet certain criteria. You may be eligible if you or your partner: • care for your child at least 2 nights per fortnight, or have 14% care • are liable for fees for care provided at an approved child care service, and • meet the residency rules

Your child must also: • meet immunisation requirements, and • not be attending secondary school unless an exemption applies

Immunisation requirements: For you to get FTB Part A supplement, Child Care Benefit and Child Care Subsidy your child needs to: • be up to date with immunisations listed in the Child programs table on the Department of Health’s National Immunisation Program Schedule • be on a catch-up schedule according to the current Australian Immunisation Handbook, or • have an approved medical exemption which has been recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Keeping up to date: You must make sure your child is up to date with immunisations to meet the requirements.

PAYMENTS: The amount FAO will subsidise your child care fees depends on your circumstances. Use the Payment and Service Finder to estimate how much CCS you may be entitled to.
